Zoniverse Beauty is an E-Commerce platform, powered by Shopify, dedicated to offering a curated selection of ethical and sustainable beauty products inspired by the boundless part of the universe. The. brand strive to create a community that values beauty products that are not only effective but also mindful of their impact on the environment and society.

The Problem

The beauty industry can be overwhelming, with many seeking products that match their style and skin needs while also being sustainable and eco-friendly. I aim to solve this problem by offering a unique range of beauty products inspired by the vast and diverse universe. Our products celebrate the endless possibilities of beauty, with inclusive and sustainable options that cater to every skin needs.

The United States and China show lower concern, with 16% of U.S. respondents and 10% of Chinese respondents valuing cruelty-free options across all categories. Based on an article by Cruelty-Free Kitty, as of 2021, a staggering 88% of the top beauty brands still funded animal testing, despite growing consumer demand for cruelty-free alternatives.

    • I prioritize cruelty-free products, use sustainable packaging, and contain ethically sourced, natural ingredients.

  2. How important is transparency about ingredients and sourcing when deciding which beauty brands to support?

    • Transparency is crucial; I need to know exactly what’s in the product and where it comes from to trust the brand.

  3. In what ways do you believe beauty brands can improve their commitment to sustainability and ethical practices, and what changes would you like to see in the industry?

    • Brands should adopt zero-waste packaging, ensure all products are cruelty-free, and be more transparent about sourcing. I’d also like to see more initiatives that give back to communities and the environment.

Additionally, Shopify offers various integrations and apps to streamline inventory management, marketing, and customer support, allowing Zoniverse Beauty to focus on growing its brand and connecting with its community of beauty enthusiasts.

Zoniverse Beauty's branding exudes ethereal elegance, blending soft pastel hues with captivating space-themed typography. Inspired by the cosmos, our branding evokes a sense of celestial wonder, inviting customers into a universe of beauty exploration.

Content Creation

As an aspiring beauty content creator on Instagram and TikTok, I decided to embark on my user journey in learning about the beauty community and products. I'm fortunate to have a growing community of passionate beauty enthusiasts. Through engaging posts and tutorials, I aim to inspire confidence and celebrate diversity in makeup and skincare. As my platform continues to grow, I remain committed to delivering valuable content and being involved with the UGC (User-Generated Content) community presents a significant opportunity to amplify the brand's presence and authenticity.

Business Pitching

I had the opportunity to present a 7-minute video pitch for Zoniverse Beauty at the TCU School of Business & Entrepreneurship, which was one of the most transformative learning experiences. Making it to the final round and pitching to stakeholders taught me the importance of clear communication and strategic planning in entrepreneurship. It was a reflective lesson on refining our business model, understanding market dynamics, and effectively engaging with stakeholders in the beauty industry.
