Overview

During the Spring of 2024, the blue team at ROXO was tasked to create impactful social media strategy, and branding assets for two clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area: TCU’s College of Science and Engineering, encompassing over 11 departments, and the nonprofit organization Once Upon a Room. My work included designing merchandise, social media graphics, and contributing to branding and website design, enhancing visibility and engagement for both clients.

Testimonials

I was thoroughly impressed with the branding assets and the thoughtful rebranding process ROXO delivered. The merchandise, and social graphics created for our various departments was not only visually appealing but also unified, effectively presenting the school as a cohesive entity. ROXO’s attention to detail and creative approach significantly enhanced our visibility and impact.

The Challenge

Once Upon a Room is encountering challenges in achieving cohesiveness throughout its social media platforms, and aligning with its established branding on its website. Key issues include inadequate color accessibility, an overwhelming volume of information, and a need for content simplification. These challenges result in a fragmented user experience, undermining the brand's overall effectiveness and appeal. As the graphic designer, I work alongside my team members to find the best solution to address these challenges and cater to OUAR’s needs.

This is a brief video that showcases the original website before revamping.

The Solution

Our approach centers on a comprehensive redesign of the website to enhance its cohesiveness and user-friendliness while aligning with the brand's identity and values. By adhering to these guidelines, the client can effectively reinforce their brand identity and create a unified visual experience for their audience.

The Website

I work closely with the team members using Figma to develop the website layouts, following the development of the brand guide and assets. Collaborating with the creative director and social media manager, we integrate insights from the brand guide to craft a visually appealing and consistent design. (Website created in Squarespace)

2. TCU College of Science & Engineering

TCU College of Science and Engineering is a group of TCU faculty, students, staff, and professors that strives to foster knowledge of and curiosity about science, mathematics, and engineering. It values learning through discovery and innovation with hands-on experience. CSE offers academic and research possibilities for students within their 11 departments.

The Challenge

Despite its commitment to fostering knowledge and curiosity through discovery and innovation, the college's visibility and engagement remain limited. To address this, there is a need to highlight student work more effectively and build a stronger audience, ensuring that the college's academic and research opportunities are well-promoted and recognized within the university community.

I also work on expanding audience reach and engaging prospective members through targeted social media strategies.

1. Website Revamp

ROXO needs a website revamp to effectively showcase our work and enhance our brand presence. A modern, user-friendly design will highlight our innovative projects and creative capabilities, attracting potential clients and collaborators. By improving the website's visual appeal and functionality, we can better communicate our brand identity and values, ultimately fostering deeper engagement and driving growth.

2. Updated Brand Guide

An updated brand guide for ROXO will provide essential resources, including fonts, visual elements, and usage guidelines to ensure consistency across all platforms. This involves designing visuals that not only engage our audience but also communicate our innovative spirit. Together, we aim to enhance Roxo’s branding, making it more relatable and impactful while maintaining a unified aesthetic across all channels.

3. ROXO’s Recruiment Week

During Roxo’s Recruitment Week, I designed tabling assets such as flyers and brochures for tabling events across TCU’s campus, especially within the Business, Fine Arts, and Communications departments.
